Gardens Manitoba Program Night:

November 4, 2024 – Growing Ginger, Turmeric and other Tropicals in Our Climate
with Maggie Wysocki, From Soil to Soul

Maggie Wysocki is an organic gardener based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She’s the founder of the home and garden website, From Soil to Soul where she helps Canadian gardeners living in cold regions with short seasons grow their best organic gardens. She shares best practices, tips and recipes from her Zone 3 homestead where she grows a variety of edible plants and flowers as well as tends to her backyard chickens. Maggie is also the co-host of The Grow Guide, named Canada’s top rated gardening podcast by Apple Podcast. The Grow Guide is a monthly podcast featuring guest interviews from influential gardening authors, public figures and horticulture experts you know and love. When Maggie’s not gardening, she’s practicing yoga, hiking the trails of Manitoba’s beloved Birds Hill Provincial Park and hanging in nature with her daughter, dog and husband.
